Santos Luzardo National Park, also known as Cinaruco-Capanaparo National Park (or vice versa), presents an extensive area of sand dunes formed by dunes that are located to the North Centre; to the Southeast are the Cinaruco galleys, which are Rocky elevations with an extension of 95 km.2, covered with vegetation, surrounded by grasses and inherited the rock formations of the Guayana shield, are Rocky lifts covered by vegetation, surrounded by grass and Gallery forests, which reach up to 250 meters high and show a great contrast in the middle of the low and flat sheets in the region. These unusual mountains have an area of 95 km2. The existence of morichales, Gallery forests, pipes, llaneras Lakes and rivers that make up Islands and extensive sand bars, represent a diversity of Prairie landscapes that highlight the importance of the Park Reserve and protect complex ecosystems.
Elements of endemic flora and fauna makes this place a station of great interest to scientists and bird watchers who have the opportunity to study behaviors of Venezuelan species from there.
